What’s New?

The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District 7 is conducting a corridor planning study along Alternate US 19 (SR 595) from Park Street North to the Pinellas/Pasco County Line in Pinellas County – a distance of approximately 28.9 miles. Alternate US 19 is a major north-south corridor in Pinellas County, connecting to numerous regionally significant corridors – including Ulmerton Road (SR 688), East Bay Road (SR 686), SR 60, and US 19. The corridor is a hurricane evacuation route, and provides access to the various barrier islands in the southern part of the County.

Project Schedule

The Alternate US 19 study began in December 2016 and is anticipated to be completed in 24 months. The project activities include collecting information, defining a vision for the corridor, and developing roadway improvement alternatives.
