The public hearing for the I-75 PD&E studies was held by the FDOT on May 6, 2010. The public hearing was conducted at the following location and time:

Maps, drawings, and other pertinent information depicting the project’s alignment and proposed improvements were available for public review from Thursday, April 15 through Tuesday, May 18, 2010, at the Florida Department of Transportation District Seven office. These documents were also on display at the Ruskin Branch Library, the Brandon Regional Library and the Temple Terrace Public Library.
A project newsletter has been distributed to announce the public hearing to nearby landowners and individuals on the project mailing list. The concepts that were illustrated at the alternatives public workshop have been further evaluated. The results of the evaluation and the recommended alternative was presented at the public hearing. FDOT representatives were available to answer any questions that you had regarding the project.
The hearing commenced at 5:00 p.m. with an open-house format consisting of project displays, a project website station, and a brief video on continual loop. There were also stations where the public could gain information on the FDOT right-of-way and property acquisition process, the FDOT 511 hotline, and the Tampa Bay Area Regional Transportation Authority (TBARTA). A court reporter was also present for the duration of the meeting to record public comments. At 6:00 p.m. a formal presentation was given followed by public oral comments. The hearing had 42 attendees. No elected officials were in attendance. Four citizens completed speaker cards and gave their official comments. Four comment sheets were also completed. The comment period ended on April 17, 2010. A total of 32 comments were received prior to, during and after the public hearing.
The general comments on the comment forms showed concern with: noise, connectivity to transit, against the use of making I-75 a toll facility, request for documents, and general support of the projects and its special use lanes.
