The purpose of this study is to identify and document potential fatal flaws, establish logical termini, define the project’s purpose and need, and evaluate potential corridors or alternatives if improvements are warranted.
The study area is centered along the Ayers Road corridor, bounded by US 41 to the west, I-75 to the east, Hickory Hill Road to the north and Blanton Road to the south. The project area is approximately 38 square miles with 11 miles from east to west boundaries and approximately 2.8 to 4.4 miles from north to south boundaries.
