It is very important for the public to provide comments to FDOT about the proposed US 301 improvements. There are many ways for you to stay involved, such as small group meetings and a public hearing. Project newsletters are mailed to all property owners within the study area as well as elected\/appointed public officials at key points in the study.<\/p>\n<p>FDOT will print and mail newsletters three times during this study:<\/p>\n<ol>\n<li>Project kickoff (mailed out on September 15, 2014)<\/li>\n<li>Prior to the public hearing hearing (scheduled for March 1, 2016)<\/li>\n<li>End of the study (Summer 2018)<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n<p>The mailing list includes:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>All property owners located within 300 feet<\/li>\n<li>Neighborhood and civic associations<\/li>\n<li>Local elected and appointed public officials<\/li>\n<li>Local, regional, and state agencies<\/li>\n<li>Anyone requesting to be included on the mailing list<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Upon request, the study team may also make presentations to local officials as well as hold casual \u201csmall group\u201d meetings with local and neighborhood groups. FDOT will provide information on the project status and illustrations of the proposed build alternatives at these meetings. Anyone who wishes to comment about the project is encouraged to do so.<\/p>\n<p>Please check this page periodically for current information regarding meeting schedules and meeting displays and graphics.<\/p>\n<h2>Public Hearing<\/h2>\n<p>The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT), District Seven held a public hearing for a Project Development and Environment (PD&amp;E) study for proposed improvements to US 301 (SR 43) in Hillsborough County, Florida on March 1, 2016. This public hearing was held to allow interested persons an opportunity to provide comments concerning the location, conceptual design, and social, economic, and environmental effects of widening US 301 from SR 60 (Adamo Drive) to I-4 (SR 400), a distance of approximately 3.3 miles. The widening of US 301 is proposed as a six lane divided roadway with pedestrian and bicycle facilities.<br \/>\n                  <!--  \n\n<div style=\"clear:both\"><\/div>\n\n\n
