{"id":740,"date":"2026-01-14T10:06:44","date_gmt":"2026-01-14T15:06:44","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.fdotd7studies.com\/sr54\/us41-at-sr54\/?page_id=740"},"modified":"2026-03-09T09:06:07","modified_gmt":"2026-03-09T14:06:07","slug":"virtual-project-update-2026","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/www.fdotd7studies.com\/sr54\/us41-at-sr54\/public-involvement\/virtual-project-update-2026\/","title":{"rendered":"Virtual Project Update (2026)"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Florida Department of Transportation (FDOT) held a <strong>Virtual Project Update (VPU)<\/strong> from <strong>January 28, 2026 to February 18, 2026,<\/strong> regarding the Project Development and Environment (PD&amp;E) study WPI Segment No.: 419182-1, for the proposed improvements to US 41 (SR 45) at SR 54 from south of the SR 54 intersection to north of the SR 54 intersection in Pasco County.<\/p>\n<p>The purpose of this project is to address future roadway capacity issues and improve safety conditions in the project area. <strong>The Preferred Alternative is a Diverging Diamond Interchange (DDI) with US 41 elevated over SR 54 and SR 597 (Dale Mabry Highway)<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>The VPU was held virtually to present information to and receive public input from interested persons regarding the proposed improvements to US 41 at SR 54. This VPU was available from <strong>Wednesday, January 28, 2026 through Wednesday, February 18, 2026. <\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The VPU was also being conducted to afford affected property and business owners, interested persons and organizations the opportunity to provide comments to FDOT regarding the proposed intersection reconfiguration at US 41 and SR 54.<\/p>\n<p>Maps, drawings, project video, and other project information were available for review online starting on January 28, 2026.<\/p>\n<p>Public participation is solicited without regard to race, color, national origin, age, sex,
