Kickoff Meeting

Public involvement is one of the most important elements of a PD&E study. It is very important for the public to provide comments to FDOT about the proposed SR 60/Courtney Campbell Causeway improvements.

The kickoff meeting will be held Thursday, September 4, 2025, from 5:30 pm. to 7:30 pm. at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Tampa Rocky Point Waterfront, 3050 N. Rocky Point Dr. West, Tampa, FL 33607.

The kickoff meeting is being conducted in-person only, to present information to and receive public input from interested persons regarding the proposed improvements to SR 60/Courtney Campbell Causeway.

Project Schedule

The SR 60/Courtney Campbell Causeway PD&E study began in June 2025 The project activities include collecting information, developing roadway improvement alternatives and evaluating the potential environmental and social effects of the “no-build” and “build” alternatives. A public kickoff meeting is scheduled for the September 4, 2025. The study is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2027.
