• Completed Study

Public Involvement

There were a number of opportunities to participate in the study, including:

  • Visioning Workshop: A Corridor Visioning Workshop was held in November 2017 to solicit input from the public on the goals and objectives of the study, and to receive input on the full range of potential improvements to be evaluated.
  • Alternatives Public Meeting: An Alternatives Public Meeting was held in July 2018 to present to the public the results of the study to date and allow the public to express concerns, ask questions, and make comments to be included in the project files.
  • WikiMapping: The study utilized a WikiMapping website, which was accessed here. Use of this site offered the public an opportunity to add location based notes to a map of the study area at any point during the study process. The project team utilized this information to help inform the process and guide solutions.
  • Project Advisory Group: A Project Advisory Group (PAG), comprised of select agency and community representatives, provided a forum for local experts to share their local knowledge about ongoing planning efforts; past successes and failures that may impact this study; and existing issues and concerns along the project corridor. The PAG met at key points throughout the study to collaborate with the project team to ensure that the corridor vision and improvement alternatives are well-coordinated with local planning efforts and community goals.
